3. Alerts
When and why will Kioti alert me?
Kioti may alert you for a few possible reasons:
The ambient CO/CO2 levels are dangerously high.
System Fault – either connection to a device, or the device itself has failed and is no longer sending data to Kioti.
Temperature Alert - Kioti will alert you when the temperature of a sensor has remained outside of your defined threshold for 15 consecutive minutes.
I am receiving push notifications to my device, but am not seeing alerts on the application. What does this mean?
When multiple users are associated with the same kitchen, one person will often resolve an issue and dismiss an alarm before another. In this instance a full timestamped log of the dismissal, and the name of the user who resolved the issue is accessible from the devices page.
How do I configure alerts?
In order to configure alert thresholds for temperature anomalies, go to the page of the sensor and click on the Upper/Lower limit fields. This allows the user to enter new values, which set a new point at which the temperature is considered out of threshold. After 15 minutes outside of this threshold Kioti will alert you.
Why are there multiple alerts with the same ID?
Each alerts is tracked through its life cycle, and all key interaction are recorded to give operative the ability to see who has been involved in acknowledging, investigating and dismissing the alert.
I can see some faults, but no one has actioned them?
Sometimes a fault is triggered, but it is resolved quickly, before an operative can acknowledge it. In these cases, “KIOTI SYSTEM” can action the alert for you. These type of alerts are easily identified as they are “Logged By : KIOTI System.”
My Fridge is 1⁰C above the upper limit for a sensor, but I can’t see any alerts
Alerts are only triggered if an appliance goes out of range for more than 15 mins. If an appliance strays a few ⁰C above or below the thresholds for a few minutes, and then returns to normal, an alert is not generated as there is no risk to the appliance contents for such a short period of time.
HACCP Temperature is showing as Red – but there are no open alerts?
Alerts are only triggered if an appliance goes out of range for more than 15 mins. If an appliance strays a few ⁰C above or below the thresholds for a few minutes, and then returns to normal, an alert is not generated as there is no risk to the appliance contents for such a short period of time.
